ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Brian Patrick Kennedy was born the 13th child in a family of 15 in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. His great grandparents, Martin Kennedy and Honora Burke, emigrated from the mountains in Ireland to Australia in 1863. He has a Master of Education from the Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Business Degree. His passion for Irish history, and in particular the history of the Kennedys, has taken him to Ireland on numerous occasions (thirty at last count). By walking the ground, climbing the ruins of the castles, talking with the people and collating the records he has developed a view of that history that he delights in sharing.
